From booking to site clean β what to expect at each stage of the process.
The actual removal day
Most residential tree removal jobs take between 2 and 8 hours. A small ornamental tree in an open yard: 2β3 hours. A medium jacaranda with moderate access: 4β5 hours. A large eucalypt near a structure requiring careful sectional dismantling: a full day with a crew of three.
Factors that extend the job
- Height β taller trees have more timber to bring down and chip
- Access β a long carry from tree to truck adds time
- Proximity to structures β controlled sectional work is slower than felling
- Density of wood β hardwood takes longer to chip
- Stump grinding β adds 30β90 minutes depending on stump size
From quote to completion
Same-day phone or photo quote. Written scope sent same day or next day. Council permit check (same day β we flag if approval is needed). If no permit required: scheduling within 3β10 business days. If permit required: 5β25 business days for BCC approval, then scheduling. The wait for permits is by far the longest part of the process.
What happens on the day
We confirm time the day before. Crew arrives 7β7:30am. Tree work is completed. All green waste chipped and removed (or left as mulch if preferred). Site broom-clean before we leave.
